Epic Day of Service
Last Saturday, members of the Rotary Club of Campbell joined Rotarians from nearby clubs at West Valley College to take part in a project sponsored by the Rotary Club of Saratoga and District 5170. Rise Against Hunger is a program that allows volunteers to assemble ready to cook food packets of dried vegetables, soya meal, spices and white rice. The day long event had Rotarians working side-by-side with students from West Valley College, including members of the Swim and Water Polo Teams!
At days end, we had assembled 30,000 food packets to be distributed to needy families in third world countries.
Rotary Loves Rosemary
Hi Rosemary Crew,
The Rotary Club of Campbell has graciously purchased ~$1,000 worth of recess equipment for our school! We now have a ball cart, lots of equipment, whistles, cones, and more!
We will be setting up an “Equipment Crew” with our 4th and 5th graders soon. We plan to launch the new carts and equipment this upcoming Monday! Let’s hope we can care for the equipment and ensure that they all last as long as possible!

Campbell Rotary is dedicated to supporting individuals and organizations in and out of the local Campbell Area with our moral and financial support. This year, we have decided to empower our individual members with the ability to pick the organization(s) they would like to support with a donation of up to $1,000. In photos from left to right above, member Neil Reid provided his donation to the Kyle J. Taylor Foundation’s Founder, Jennifer Sarmento. The Taylor Foundation seeks to make available defibrillators where young people participate in sporting events. Jerry Cummings, wanted his funds to go to support the Grateful Garment Project here in the Bay Area. Shown with member Jeff Nielsen are Lisa Blanchard & Georgina Ong from the GGP. John Shannon met with Jim & Denise DeLong of the Doris Dillon School in rural Cambodia, signaling our interest in successful international projects. Last but not least, Jim Morelan, a long time supporting of Cub Scouts, donated his funds to Pack 394 to help with their meeting expenses. He is shown here with Pack Leader, Hannah Sohre.
