Today’s weekly speaker, Susan Runsvold, inspired us with the story of Turning Wheels for Kids-, which provide “brand new sparkly bikes” to kids who otherwise wouldn’t have their own bicycle. On December 10, the group will put together 2400 bikes for distribution to kids around the South Bay. We also heard stories recalling everyone’s first bike, including several recollections from Valley celebrities which are available on the group’s YouTube page. Today’s speaker has been on a whirlwind tour of the Rotary Speaker circuit, addressing multiple clubs on the topic of Meditation. Subash Khanijow is a former engineer, who know talks about meditation as a path to better happiness in your life. Just back from a 20-day meditation experience, Khanijow introduced “Mike” who shared his own meditation experience. |
