Argentinean Visits Campbell “Partners in Service” is a unique program in the world of Rotary, It operates only out of District 5170 exchanging members and programs from around the world. Our club was honored to benefit from a visit from Carlos Ojeda of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Carlos shared how he was able to increase the contributions from his District tenfold in just a couple of years. Carlos made it his mission to inform local Rotary Clubs in Argentina of the value of contributing to TRF. By informing the clubs that TRF funds come back to the areas that contribute them, Argentineans not only increased their contributions, but also their use of District Designated Funds (DDF) and accordingly, more local projects which have positively impacted the lives of needy people in the Buenos Aires area. Thanks to the leadership of Bill Ellington and his crew of volunteers, some of whom did double duty, Campbell Rotary’s roasted corn, hot dogs, sausages, french fries, lemonade and water booth netted over $3,000 for the club in this Fall’s downtown event. ?????
